SENATORS KOWALL, PAPPAGEORGE, CASPERSON, PAVLOV, HILDENBRAND AND HANSEN SPEAKING AT A PRESS CONFERENCE TO INTRODUCE LEGISLATION THAT WOULD REDUCE RED TAPE IN THE STATE'S PERMITTING PROCESS.

Michigan State Senators Mike Kowall, John Pappageorge, Tom Casperson, Phil Pavlov, Dave Hildenbrand and Geoff Hansen introduced legislation to speed the process by which companies can get the necessary state permits to operate in Michigan. Among the many goals of enacting this legislation is to make sure the state does not implement air and water quality standards more stringent than those of the federal government.
